Jamilah Kolocotronis, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is the author of seven books, six fiction and one non-fiction. Her best known work is the five-book Echoes Series which chronicles the life of Joshua Adams, an American Muslim convert.
Jamilah herself converted to Islam in 1980. She earned her Ph.D. in Social Science Education from Ball State University and has taught social studies at various Islamic schools. She and her husband, who is a Muslim from Thailand and an Islamic school principal, have raised six sons. They also have three grandchildren. Jamilah and her family currently live in the state of Kentucky.
